Legal Actions if Consumer is Damaged

Law No. 8 Year 1999 regarding Consumer Protection (Consumer Protection Law) regulates several settlement if there is damage caused by the Entrepreneurs or if there are disputes between the Entrepreneurs and the Consumer.

Here are the Legal Actions if the Consumer is damaged:

  • Settlement through court, as regulated in Article 45, Article 46, and Article 48 Consumer Protection Law;
  • Settlement outside the court to achieve Deliberation (Article 47 Consumer Protection Law)
  • Settlement through Consumer Dispute Settlement Board (Badan Penyelesaian Sengketa Konsumen/BPSK).
